Week Two - Tuesday, April 16

Choir – Choir practice after school today at 3pm in the band room!

Tutoring – Today after school from 3:30 to 5:00 in the library.

Student Council – Reminder that “Popcorn Night” is happening on Thursday from 7-9 PM. You can bring your $5 to get in when you arrive, and all money raised is going towards Easter Seals. The options are Barbie, Shrek, Ratatouille, and Grown Ups, and you can vote on Instagram until the end of the day Tuesday for what we will watch.   ALL student council members must attend a short meeting at morning break today in the library for a “popcorn tutorial”. 

Spring Volleyball – reminder that the boys spring volleyball teams play up west at ME Callaghan school tonight. Please let Mr. Roche know today if you cannot make it or if you need a drive up west. 

Badminton – Congratulations to Mia McGee Gallant and Stella Myers on winning the bantam girls doubles yesterday and they are now going to provincials that start next week.  Congratulations to Lydia Davidson and Grace MacKenzie who finished third in Intermediate girls’ doubles.  Congratulations to all the other players who finished either third or fourth in their pool.  Stonepark had a great showing in doubles yesterday.

Zone singles goes today in badminton.  The gym is closed again today for badminton practice.  All players attending singles today have a meeting at morning break in the gym.  

There will be a team picture for all badminton players on Wednesday at morning break in the gym for the yearbook.  Please remember your badminton shirt.

EAL Segment – One of the most beautiful landmarks in Vietnam is Bitexco Financial Tower with 68 floors and 584 feet tall. 
● The construction started in June 2007 and was completed by 2010.
● The next fact will be included in the trivia for this week! On the 49th floor, the Saigon Skydeck offers a breathtaking 360-degree view from the heart of the city. 
● The Independence Palace is also one of the beautiful landmarks in Vietnam. Also known as the Reunification Palace, was the site of a dramatic event during the Vietnam War. Today, the palace stands as a symbol of peace and unity in Vietnam's history.
