Week Two - Thursday, April 16

Daily Reminders – MacLeod field is closed until further notice.

Band – Grade 8 teachers, please dismiss your Band students to the cafeteria for an early lunch at 11:35 today. All Grade 8 band students should be wearing their band uniforms and ready to leave school at 12:00. 

Tigers in Tune – will be having their practice today after school from 3 to 4pm. Please note the time change.

Yearbook – The yearbook crew is meeting today, after school in the library. The session ends at 430. 

Track and Field – Just a reminder that the track team will begin training next week, Tuesday, April 21. For all students interested, please sign up outside the gym. 

Bake Sale - thanks to anybody who brought in donations. At morning break and lunch today, you can buy cookies for $1 each and cupcakes for $2 (cash only) to support our Easter Seals campaign! If there is anything left after today, it will be sold tomorrow.

Badminton – Stonepark had another great day at badminton on Wednesday. 
In Bantam Girls Grace MacLeod and Diana Pham finished 4th. 
In Intermediate Girls Brielle Dingwell and Isabella Acorn lost a very close match after a few big wins to finish 3rd.  
Jake McEntee and Israr Amiri lost early in the draw and then rattled off 4 wins in a row before losing to finish 3rd.  Great job to battle until the end.
In Bantam Boys Karl Ngo and Lincoln Maye had a great day and finished 3rd. 
After losing earlier to EWS the team of Sam Mandhan and Landon McGee-Gallant came from the losers bracket to win two games in a row to take 1st.  They did a great job handling adversity in the big win.

Players who made it to Provincials, Jake McEntee, Sam Mandhan, Karl Ngo and Landon McGee Gallant have practice next Monday and Wednesday, April 20/22, before provincials on Thursday.

Flag Football – ANY girls, of ANY grade levels (7-9), are invited to try out for Flag Football. Tryouts will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week after school from 3-4. Please sign-up outside of the gymnasium if you are interested.

Hockey Pool – Playoffs are around the corner. If you’d like to join a playoff pool, see Earl at break to sign up. No cost, just for fun and bragging rights.
