Week Two - Monday, June 8

Drama Club held their wrap up on Friday of last week and won two awards for their excellent efforts. There were nine plays entered in the festival and four awards were presented. Stonepark won two of the four awards.

The first prize went to the play “Interspace News.” Written by students Rory Laird and Jenna Eveleigh. This was the Adjudicator’s award of distinction for a play that created unique and memorable moments during the play.

The second prize went to Isabella Massey and her play that she composed herself called “Dear Diary.”  This was the Adjudicator’s award of distinction for Isabella who demonstrated considerable growth of character throughout the process and for her writing skills.

Mr. Coleman would like to thank all the students for their efforts and their dedication to the dramatic arts.  He would also like to thank all the teachers for their flexibility as we rehearsed, and to Sarah Vos for her support and assistance.
