Week Two - Monday, April 15

Congratulations to Tigers Summer Britton, Jenelle Thompson, Allie Bailey and Sadie Hughes! Their U14 Wave ringette team won GOLD at the Eastern Canadian Ringette Championship this weekend! This is the first time a PEI team has ever won gold at Easterns. 

Library – There will be tutoring on Tuesday from 3:30 until 5pm.  Ms. Poirier will collect solar glasses until the end of the week.  They will be donated to Astronomers Without Borders.  A new book club session will start on Tuesday at lunch, all are welcome.  The new book is Rule of Three by Eric Walters.  If you are new to Book Club, they meet in the library on Tuesdays at lunch in the middle side room.  If you wish to join just show up tomorrow, try to be there by 12:15.

Badminton – Good luck to the badminton team today as they play in zone 3 doubles.  Stonepark will host Bantam Boys doubles starting at 4 today.  The gym will be closed today at lunchtime for a badminton practice and there will be no spectators allowed.  Gym equipment can be signed out today, but the Heather Ave field is still closed.

Student Council – Student Council members please meet in Mr. Roche’s classroom at morning break.

EAL Segment – The winner of last week’s Trivia is Maria McCaughey 9K, pick up your prize in Room 301!
Today in our EAL segment we will talk about Vietnam! We will start by sharing with you some facts about its population and territory: 
● Vietnam’s population is 98.19 million people. 
● The capital city of Vietnam is HaNoi, however, the largest city is Ho Chi Minh with a population of 9.3 million people. 
● The next fact will be included in the trivia for this week! One of the most famous places to travel in Vietnam is Hoi An with an outstanding 3 million travelers a year, maybe someday you'll get to experience its beauty yourself!
