Week One - Thursday, April 23

A big thank you to Ms. Telleria, all teachers and students who took part in the Earth Day activities and schoolyard cleanup yesterday! Our school grounds are cleaner and greener thanks to your efforts. It was awesome to see so many students and staff stepping up to help the planet. Every little action counts—and together, we made a big difference.

Tigers in Tune will be having their weekly rehearsal today after school. Please meet in the band room at 3pm.

Drama Club – Will the students performing in the play Wendigo please meet with Mr. Coleman in the cafeteria during first period this morning. Teachers this is with your approval only. 

Flag Football – Tryouts for boys' flag football will be held this afternoon (Thursday) from 3:30-5:00 in the bowl. Girls will tryout from 3 – 4:30.

Gauss Math – There will be a grade seven practice session for Gauss math on Thursday period 5, in the cafeteria. Please bring a pencil and a calculator. 

There will be a grade 9 Gauss math practice Friday period 3 in the cafeteria. Anyone who signed up, head to the cafeteria after attendance in period 3 tomorrow.

Track and Field – The track team is training today, after school, in the bowl. The session will end at 4h15.

Yearbook – The yearbook crew is meeting today, after school, in the library. The session ends at 4h30. 

Table Tennis Tournament - Tier 1 was completed, with Kamsy, Aubrey, Mason, Reece, Bisi, Matthew, Jake and Sam moving on to quarterfinals on Monday. Tier 2 will finish today with the final round robin group and first playoff matches. 

Disc Golf Club - the Stonepark Disc Golf Club will be starting up next week for another season. Students of all grades and skill levels are encouraged to sign up to try out a new sport and enjoy the outdoors. There is a sign up sheet outside the gym, and please see Mr. Harkness or Mr. Roche if you have any questions. 

Badminton – Good luck to Bantam Boys, Sam Mandhan, Karl Ngo and Landon McGee-Gallant. Good luck to Intermediate Boy Jake McEntee at the semi-finals for provincials. 

Musical – Grade 7 Students attending The Wizard of Oz Musical at Charlottetown Rural on May 13th are to have their $10 paid now. Please let your teacher know if you will not be in school that day and therefore not going. Teachers, please send along your final number of attendees (not including staff) to the office this morning as busses have to be ordered. 

The ACTT for Life Presentations are now completed. Thank you to the teachers and students in 9J, 9K, and 9I for your participation and engagement in yesterday's presentations. Catherine and Denise will continue their follow-ups with students today and tomorrow.
