Week One - Friday, April 12

Congratulations to Greta Edgett-Gallant who represented Stonepark at the Provincial Science Fair this week. Greta was presented with an award from UPEI for Engineering and Sustainability.

Student Council – Student Council students will be selling freezies in the Food lab this morning. Freezies are $2 each, cash only. All proceeds go to the the Easter Seals campaign. Any student council member wanting to help out, please see Ms. MacDonald.

Coding Club – The Coding Club will meet today at lunch in Mrs. Reynard’s room.

Band – Congratulations to our grade 8 and Grade 9 bands on their awesome performances at PEI Band Days yesterday! The bands performed with lots of energy and musical style, and they received very positive feedback from the adjudicators. Well done band students!

A reminder to Grade 9 band students that your band trip fees are now due.

Heritage Fair – would the students who are attending the Provincial Heritage Fair at the end of the month, please bring their permission form to Ms. Burry today please. 

Spring Volleyball - reminder that there is no practices for volleyball on Monday for boys or girls due to the badminton tournament. The girls will have a practice on Saturday from 1-2:30. The boys will play next in their tournament on Tuesday at ME Callaghan. 

Intramurals – Badminton in the gym at lunch for grade 7/9.  

Badminton – Badminton team practice today after school until 4:30.  

EAL Segment - Our week learning about Honduras has come to an end, we will use this segment to recap some of the things we shared.
Honduras’s population is 10.5 million people.

Honduras’s most popular dishes are Sopa de caracol and baleadas!
And here at Stonepark we have 1 student who was born in Honduras.
