Leadership Students:
Some leadership students from grade 9 are starting up a Book Club! They are looking forward to meeting anyone interested in joining.  The first meeting will be this Thursday at 12:10 in the library.  It is just the first meeting to get to know each other and talk about books, the reading will start at the next meeting.

 Peer Tutoring:
Will begin on Thursday, as well.  Each Thursday from 3:30 until 5pm, tutors from Charlottetown Rural come to Stonepark Library to help you with any subject you need to work on, including french classes.  Please, be sure to make arrangements with home before attending, so they are aware you will be late and to make sure you have a drive home afterwards, as we do not provide transportation.  Peer tutoring is free and many of our students have had success with the support they offer.

Technology Presentation:
Sorry folks, still no technology presentations today.

 Boys AA Volleyball:
The AA boys volleyball team lost a close game to Montague last night by a score of 3 sets to 2. Despite a standout performance from setter Miki Bain, the team produced too many errors and could not rally their way to a win. The team will practice from 3-5 today in the gym after school.

Boys AA Soccer:
In AA boys' soccer yesterday Stonepark tied Birchwood 0-0 .   Dominating play from the opening whistle the Tigers created a number of scoring chances but couldn't find the back of the net.  Standout performances for the game included Ben Weatherbie, Rayner Smith and Andrew MacDonald on defence.  The team is back in action on Thursday at Queen Charlotte.

Boys A Soccer:

The Boys A Soccer team will practice today from 3:15-4:30 on the MacLeod Field.

Girls AA Soccer:
"The Girls AA Soccer team lost a tough game against Birchwood last night. The girls started the game a little slow, but bounced back stronger in the second half. Jessa Gaudette had a strong showing in the net, and made many key saves to keep the Tigers in the game. We will practice today after school from 3:15-4:30. Please listen to afternoon announcements for an update, in the event of heavy rain."

Field Hockey Team:
The field hockey team had a big 1-0 win over Birchwood yesterday.  Miah Lawlor was the goal scorer and Kaelyn Doyle had the shutout.  Please listen to announcements today as your practice may change locations or be canceled due to weather.

Cross Country Team:
There will be a short but VERY important meeting today at the beginning of lunch in M. Beaton's room for the Cross Country Team
