EAL Segment – There are a lot of facts that people don’t know about China, so today we’re going to talk about two of them.
•    The Terracotta Warriors were found by farmers. They were discovered on 29 March 1974 when farmer Yang Zhifa uncovered fragments of pottery when digging a well. This pottery led to the discovery of the first warrior of the famous Terracotta Army. Since the discovery of the Terracotta Army, more than 2,000 warriors and horses have been excavated from three different burial pits with an estimated 6,000 still buried underground.
•    The Chinese New Year is one of the most important holidays in Chinese culture. The festival is also called "Lunar New Year" in English, however, "Chinese New Year" is still a commonly used translation for people of non-Chinese backgrounds. And 2024 is the year of the Dragon!
