Popcorn Night – thanks to everyone who came out for our first “Popcorn” movie night! There were lots of laughs, and we raised over $1000 for Easter Seals in the process! This may be an event we try to do more of, especially next year!

Sports – In January, Will, Philip, Owen and Kaden joined forces with 5 other athletes from Charlottetown Schools to form the 14 U Inferno Volleyball team who will represent PEI at 14 U Volleyball Nationals May 2-5. This past weekend their hard work over the last 3 months was put to the test against 4 teams from Nova Scotia. Congratulations to the boys who finished first in the Inferno Spring Classic.  We cannot wait to see these athletes represent PEI in Fredericton, NB. Best of luck to those Tigers.

The U-15 AAA Central Attack dominated the Metro West Force Citadels 7-3 to win the U-15 AAA Atlantics.  Players on the team were, Cadence (Captain with 2 goals in the final), Camryn, Kendal, Stella and Holly (hat trick in final).  They dominated the competition going 4-0 in the preliminary round before dominating the finals. 5 of the 7 goals in the finals were scored by Tigers. Well done ladies!!

Lastly the U-13 AAA Central Storm Black lost a close final in their Atlantics. Soraya and Brynn play on the team. Congrats ladies!!

Green Team - Today is a big day! It’s Earth Day and this year’s theme is Plastic vs Planet.

We have a few school initiatives planned for today, where staff and students can do their part in helping the planet with either a Yard Clean Up and/or Lights Out!

For teachers that have signed up to take their classes outside, please wait for a member of the Green Team to deliver your materials, before going outside. (Moved to tomorrow, due to weather)

Lights Out - If sunlight permits, teachers can opt to teach with their lights off, to help reduce electricity consumption.

Also, throughout the day, teachers can choose to go through the Earth Day educational resources that the Green Team emailed out.

As you go about your daily business, ask yourself, what can you do to help protect the Earth?
Turn off the lights when you leave a room?
Pick up trash outside?
Bring a reusable water bottle to school?
Do you properly throw away your garbage in can?

Enjoy and thank you for doing your part to help protect and save the planet!"
