Week One - Friday, April 26

Addams Family ticket envelopes. Please send your envelope and all money collected to the office right after announcements so we can get an accurate count of how many students will be attending.

Softball – Anyone interested in trying out for the girls’ softball team are to sign up outside the gym. Today is the final day to sign up.

Flag Football – There will be another try out Monday, April 29 for Grade 7 girls flag football. Please see Mrs. Telleria during morning break today.

Grade 8 Girls - We will practice on Monday from 3:00 to 4:45 in the Bowl.

Disc Golf Club – The Disc Golf club will be starting Tuesday after school! This is a chance to try out a new sport that anybody can play, and is open to kids in all grades, including beginners (there will be no cuts). In June, we will take a couple of trips to real Disc Golf courses around the island! Please sign your name up down by the gym if you are interested in trying disc golf or see Mr. Harkness or Mr. Roche if you have any questions.

EAL Segment - Our week learning about China is over, we will do a little recap of the things we learned:
● China’s population is 1.43 billion people. 
● One of its most popular landmarks is the Great Wall of China! It extends for over 21 thousand kilometers, making it the largest manmade structure in the world.
● Kung Pao and sweet and sour pork are two of the most popular dishes from China to the world.
● According to the Chinese New Year, 2024 is the year of the Dragon!
