Volunteer Opportunity – Hockey Canada and Hockey PEI are looking for student on ice crew for the upcoming World Sledge Hockey Challenge tournament happening this December in Charlottetown. Our Grade 8 classes will be attending a game on December 9, and Hockey Canada has asked if we could have some of our students involved to help. They need 4 Ice crew (the folks that clean the snow in front of the benches and around the goalie crease during timeouts) and they need 4 flag bearers to start the game. You will skate flags on the ice for the two teams, Hockey Canada and the Canadian flag. So they need 8 hockey or ringette players for that game.  They also need the same amount for a 3pm game on Friday December 13. The volunteers can be from any grade. You can use this as volunteer experience on a resume. Please let the main office know if you are interested.
