Week Two - Tuesday, June 10

Missing Birkenstock Sandals – There as a pair of 2 strap brown Birkenstock sandals taken from the girls changing room in the gym yesterday during 4th period. If you picked them up, please return them to the office.

Tigers in Tune – Just a reminder to Tigers in Tune, and anyone who played with the choir during the spring concert, that there will be a pizza lunch for you in Mr. Coleman’s class on Wednesday at noon.

Math Competition – Ms. Misener and Mr. McNeil held a sum-mer countdown competition on IXL last week and want to acknowledge the first-place winners in each of their math classes. Classes 8E, F, G, H, I, and J had five days to complete as many proficient skills on IXL as they could. The first-place winners in Ms. Misener’s group were Tristan in 8F, Lujy in 8G, and Thomas in 8J. The first-place winners in Mr. McNeil’s group were Ogo in 8E, Liam in 8H, Aiden in 8I. The overall first place winner with a whopping 300 proficient skills was Lujy Abdo in 8G. Great job to all of the grade 8 math students who participated!

Semi Tickets – if you want to buy your semi tickets with cash today ($25), please go to the table in the lobby at morning break. Also, if you want to buy your tickets online through etransfer, follow the link on the Student Council Instagram page. 

Student Council – today is Tropical Tuesday, and tomorrow will be Neon Wednesday. Dress up to participate and join in on the fun!

Beep Test – If you are in grade 9 and missed the beep test, tomorrow is your last chance.  The gym will be closed during the test. You are more than welcome to come get some outdoor equipment.  

Softball – The girls softball team will play Montague today in the quarterfinals at Mulberry Field. Game time is at 4:30.

Flag Football – Good luck to the grade 7 boys flag football team who play in Provincials in Summerside this afternoon.  Lock in boys!

The girls AA team is off to Provincials! Our Tigers led 21-6 at the half and hung on to defeat East Wiltshire 21-20. Mia McGee-Gallant threw touchdown passes to Jenell Thompson, Avery Crawford, and Alexis Huggan to help lead our Girls to the victory. Our defense, led by Nealah Court, was very strong and got a stop on the last play. We are off to Summerside to play Hernewood this evening and eventually compete for a medal.

Disc Golf – there will be a very short meeting in Mr. Roche’s room at morning break today.
