UPEI Basketball League – Some UPEI Panthers Basketballers and coaches have organized a Basketball League for middle school students in the area. This is for students who are interested in basketball and maybe did not make a school team – they don’t want you to stop playing! UPEI Coaches and players have developed this Sunday program to make a positive impact in the community with the goal of giving continuity to a healthier lifestyle and building teamwork thanks to sports. One of the players will be here at Stonepark for a short presentation tomorrow, (Tuesday), November 19th right after lunch in the cafeteria. If you are interested in basketball and want to get more details about what you will be doing, times and cost, check in with your 4th period teacher then go directly to the cafeteria.
Food Drive – last Friday, a few members of our Student Council took a field trip over to East Wiltshire to challenge them to a Food Drive competition, after they challenged us last year. The challenge will run until December 13th, and the losing school’s principal must buy freezies for every student at the winning school! To make sure we win, please bring in non-perishable food donations to the multipurpose room first thing each day for the next few weeks, where Student Council members will be collecting them.
