Flag Football – The final roster for grade 9 girls will be posted today at morning break. Mr. Bradley and Ms. MacKinnon would like to thank all the girls who attended tryouts. If your name is on the list, please be ready to practice on Tuesday from 3:00 to 4:15.
Grade 7 girl's flag football will have an indoor classroom session for practice today from 3-4 in Coach R's room. It's room 114 in the downstairs grade 9 hallway. If you can't make it, please let Coach R' or Coach Stewart know.
There will be a flag football practice for grade 8 girls today and tomorrow from 3:00 pm to 4:45pm.
The grade 9, 8 and 7 boys flag football practices are canceled for today. They will all go tomorrow. Tuesday will be Grade 9 boys 3-5, Grade 8 boys 5-6:30 and grade 7 boys 3:15-4:30.
Softball – There will be a girls’ softball tryout on Wednesday from 3:15-4:30 in the gym.
Archery – This is the last week for Archery. We will meet today and Thursday.
Track Team – For all students who signed up for the Stonepark Track Team, we will have our first training session tomorrow, Tuesday, April 29, after school. Meet in the bowl at 3h10. The session will last an hour. Also, there are more sign-up sheets outside the gym for anyone who did not yet sign up.
Reach for the Top – Mrs. Burry is looking for any Grade 7 and 8 Reach players who would like to take part in the provincial tournament with Souris students on Thursday, May 1st after school. The winning team will play in the Nationals online, on Sunday, May 25. Please see Mrs. Burry in her office after announcements if you want to participate in this Thursday’s round-robin tournament after school this Thursday.
Open gym today at lunchtime in the gym. MacLeod field on Heather Ave field is still off limits this week.
Band – A few reminders to band students about the rehearsal schedule changes this week:
Tuesday - no early morning band for Grade 8 - the Grade 9 band will rehearse instead.
Wednesday - no early morning band for Grade 7 or after school Jazz Band rehearsal as Mrs. Sorensen is away on the band trip
Thursday - no rehearsals
Grade 9 Band students who have Emergency Contact forms to hand in, are to bring the forms to the band room following this morning's announcements.
