June is Pride Month. Pride Month is a chance to celebrate who people are, stand up as allies, and help create a community where everyone feels respected, included, and free to be themselves.
Congratulations to our school Reach for the Top team as they attended Nationals this weekend in Moncton. They won several games and even though they did not win the National trophy, they came away with the best prize – the Spirit Award in the Junior division. Congratulations Collins, Finn, Jack, Reid and Ms. Burry!
There will be a regular School Reach game today at noon – all are welcome and remember to bring your lunch.
Flag Football – The girls AA flag football team will have a practice today from 3:00-4:15pm in the bowl.
Flag football playoff games today: (Tuesday, June 2nd).
Tier 1 Girls vs. Birchwood - 3:40 at the Cornwall Turf. There will be a quick meeting at break time in the lobby.
If the girls win, they play again at 4:30
Grade 8 Girls vs. Grace Christian - 6:30 at Francois Buote. Please be there by 6pm.
If the girls win, they play again at 7:20
Green Team – There will be a Green Team meeting today during morning break in the health classroom.
Library – The last day to sign out library books is June 5th. All library books are due June 12th. It would be much appreciated if you could have your books in on time.
Tutoring – Today will be the last day of tutoring for the year. Thank you to all of the students who have been making use of this service.
Book Drive – any students or staff with book donations can drop them off in the office, and they will be donated to the PEI Literacy Alliance at the end of the week. Thanks to anyone who can support this community project from students in 9C!
Disc Golf – the team is travelling to play at Glenaladale Disc Golf course in Blooming Point after school so there will be a meeting in Mr. Roche's room at morning break today for all disc golfers to figure out drives.
Fry Truck – the Cavendish Farms Fry Truck will be at Stonepark again at lunchtime on Thursday this week ($3 per order)
Softball – The girls softball team will practice today at Mulberry Field from 3:15-4:15 weather depending.
