The Bagel Barn is recruiting volunteers for the 2025-2026 school year. If you are interested, get an application form from M. Valois in grade 9 (upstairs) or Mr. Acorn in grade 7 (downstairs). You have until Friday, May 9th to apply.
Track and Field – After school today, running and throwing from 3-4
Caribou Math Contest – It’s contest day! Students who have signed up for Period 1 can go directly to Mme. Horrelt’s room; for those writing during Period 2, they can go to Mrs. Reynard’s room. Good luck to all participants.
Flag Football – The Grade 7 and grade 8 boys' flag football teams both have a meeting at morning break in the gym. Please bring your permission forms with you.
12 Minute Circuit – The last 12-minute fitness circuit for grade 9's is being run today at 12:05. The gym will only have badminton on one half until it is completed.
Softball – The girls softball team will have a tryout today from 3:15-4:30 at Francois Buote School. Please see Mr. Dunn, Mr. MacSwain, or Mr. Acorn if you need a drive.
Reach for the Top – there will be no Reach for the Top today because most participants will be on a field trip. Also, a note to students in all grades that Reach for the Top will be reduced to one day a week – that being Tuesdays, for all three grades. So, starting next week, all three grades will meet on Tuesdays. The club will finish at the end of May – so, there will be no RFTT in June.
Knits and Stitches – Today will be the last Knits and Stitches Club meeting after school for the year. We are working at putting together the rest of the quilt.
Fry Truck – the Cavendish Farms Fry truck will be here again today at lunch, with some of the boys from student council working the fryers today. Once again, please buy a ticket in the lobby for $3 before going to the fry truck. If you forgot money again today, it will be back on May 18th in support of the band program.
Disc Golf Club – all disc golf club members who are signed up must meet in the gym by 3 o’clock for the first practice, which will happen on the Heather Avenue/MacLeod/Front Field.
Leadership Conference – the grade 8 student leaders who were invited to next Wednesday’s conference are reminded that they must have their permission forms submitted by tomorrow. There will also be a short meeting tomorrow in Mr. Roche’s room at morning break for all these students.
