Special announcement for you grade 8s!
Are you a leader? Would you like to make a difference for your peers? Would you be willing to volunteer one hour a week to help others? Well, we have an excellent opportunity for you. The Bagel Barn is recruiting volunteers for the 2025-2026 school year. If you are interested, get an application form from M. Valois in grade 9 (upstairs) or Mr. Acorn in grade 7 (downstairs). You have until Friday, May 9th to apply.
Student Council - there will be a meeting in Mr. Roche's room for the first half of 3rd period to prepare for next week's leadership conference.
Band – Congratulations to the Grade 9 Concert Band on their musical performance at the Atlantic Festival of Music in Halifax last week! The band performed with lots of energy and mature musical phrasing. Our Tigers were awarded a Silver standing for their performance! It takes a lot of effort and dedication to prepare for a performance and the band students should feel very proud of their festival accomplishment!
Early morning rehearsals will go ahead this week as regularly scheduled.
Grade 7 band students - your permission slips for Beginner Band Day are due.
Flag Football – Grade 9 girls will play Montague and Queen Charlotte this evening in Cornwall beginning at 4:45. Players are asked to be at the field at 4:00. Please see Mr. Bradley at morning break to get your uniform.
The AA boys team plays tonight at Francois Buote. Please meet in the gym at break.
Grade 7 girls team has a meeting at the start of morning break in the SSC.
The grade 7 boys flag football team is posted. Practice today at 3:15-4:30. Players need to see Mr. Bridges at 11:55 today in the gym for a quick meeting.
Softball – There will be a girls softball tryout tomorrow from 3:15-4:30 tentatively in the bowl as we await approval from the City of Charlottetown to get clearance to use the fields. Please listen to the announcements for possible changes.
Open Gym – The gym is open at lunch and Heather Ave field is still closed this week.
Track – The track team will be training Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. Students are to meet in the bowl, after school each day and the sessions will last 1 hour.
12 Minute Circuit – Any grade 9's who missed the 12-minute circuit fitness test or who want to improve their mark. Next Tuesday and Thursday at lunchtime.
