Week One - Friday, November 15

Staff are asked to stop by the office to sign the November 1, 7 and 8 PD sign in forms.

Sarah and Lyndsey have a request for all students. They really don’t like interrupting your learning by calling into your classroom during class, so when you’re oohing and laughing, it is really hard to hear your teacher, so they’re asking that you please stay quiet, so they can hear your teacher, relay their message and you can get back to learning as quickly as possible without major disruption.

Boys and Girls Club – BGC is here today in the multipurpose room. They have free lunch, board games, and activities for anyone who would like to join. They also offer a variety of programs for youth at their building on St. Peter’s Road. Go check them out for free food, and to hear more about what they have to offer!

Library – At lunch on November 19th, we will have a special guest speaker in the library; Ms. Kryger, from the Charlottetown Library. She will be coming in to talk books and to teach us how to make some origami creations.  The library will only be open to the students who see Ms. Poirier to sign-up for the activity. If there are too many students signed-up, Ms. Poirier will draw names and announce who can attend on the 18th. As an added bonus... you'll be able to eat your lunch in the library that day!

Basketball – Coach Bradley and Coach Wight would like to thank all the girls who attended Girls A tryouts. The final roster will be posted outside the gym during morning break.

If you did not make a basketball team this year and are still interested in basketball, there is a middle school league being offered by basketball PEI starting this Sunday.  There are pamphlets on the PE bulletin board.

Student Council – there will be a short student council meeting in Mr. Roche's room at morning break today.

Student Staff Volleyball – the tournament between teachers and our grade 9 volleyball players will happen in the gym today after school from 3:00 - 4:30. The games will start by 3:10, so students and teachers who are playing will go down and get changed and warmup right after the final bell (students don't need to leave class early). Any staff or students who want to watch and cheer on the players are also welcome!

Teachers will find Ice Cream Party tickets in their mailbox at morning break.
