2025 Heritage Fair Qualifiers – Thanks to all the students who participated in the Heritage Fair this year.
We had a number of outstanding projects and it was very hard to narrow things down to the nine which will be going to the Provincial Heritage Fair. Thanks to our distinguished judges, Mr. Coleman, Ms. Lavoie, Mrs. Burry, Ms. Golatta and Mr Bradley. Please see Mr. Acorn in the lobby on Monday morning at break for details on the provincials.
The nine qualifiers for the Provincials on May 23rd are:

4 - HMCS Haida - Denver Reardon
5 - The History of the PEI Psych Ward - Ethan Foote
6 - A Country of Migration - Amalia Barbosa
7 - Girl Guides - Kyla Rose
8 - Johnny Bower - Joseph and Tanner
9 - Greatest Canadian Inventions – Arina
Track and Field Competition – There is an opportunity for French immersion students to go to Laval Quebec this summer for a track and field competition. If you are interested there is information on the PE bulletin board. Please take your phone as there is a website with further information.
Field Hockey – There is a field hockey flyer on the PE bulletin board with a spring camp for those who are interested.
Triathlon – There is a meeting at morning break for any students who are interested in doing a PEISAA Triathlon. The date of the competition is the holiday Monday, May 19th at 9 in the morning.
Flag Football – The grade 7/8 boys flag football teams started their seasons last night. The grade 7 boys showed that they are ready to play with 2 convincing wins and the grade 8 boys went 1-1. Well done boys.
Softball – The final girls softball list will be posted outside the gym at break time. Mr. Dunn, Mr. MacSwain, and Mr. Acorn would like to thank all the girls who tried out. There will be a team meeting in Mr. Dunn’s classroom on Monday from 3-4.
Band – Congratulations to the Grade 7 Concert Band on their very strong performance at Beginner Band Day yesterday! The students were excellent audience members at the concert and respectful students at the restaurant!
