Week Two - Tuesday, May 12

Special announcement for you grade 8s! Are you a leader? Would you like to make a difference for your peers? Would you be willing to volunteer one hour a week to help others? Well, we have an excellent opportunity for you. The Bagel Barn is recruiting volunteers for the 2026-2027 school year. If you are interested, get an application form from M. Valois in grade 9 (upstairs) or Mr. Acorn in grade 7 (downstairs).  You have until Friday, May 15th to apply.

May PHE Tigers of the Month - Congratulations to the following students: Bennett Mader (7E), Kenzie Chandler (8A), Mason Perry (9E), and Kinsley Tremblay (9K). Please come down to the gym during morning break!

Ice Cream Sales – The School Reach Team will be selling a variety of ice cream during morning break. There will be several varieties - all are nut free – most are gluten free and some are lactose free. Something for everyone – the cost is $2 each. 

School Reach – The Grade 7 & 8 School reach team will meet for their usual trivia game at noon. You will meet in the science lab as usual – bring your lunch.

Library - there will be tutoring this week, but not next week. 

Knits and Stitches Club will be running today from 3:00pm to 4:30pm in Mr. Beck’s room.

Gauss Math – The grade 7 and 8 Gauss contest will take place on Friday morning from 10:00-11:00am in the cafeteria. Please wait for the announcement before coming down. Students are asked to bring a pencil and a calculator. Good luck to all those participating. 

Softball – The girls softball team will play Montague today weather dependent at Mulberry Field. Game time is at 4:30. 

Flag Football T-shirts have arrived! Could both A Girls Teams go to the gym at lunch to get their jerseys. The other teams will get their shirts later this week.

The girl's 'A' Tier 1 Flag Football team has a quick meeting at morning break in the lobby. 

Our AA girls flag football team played two hard-fought games last night. The girls came up short against East Wiltshire, but bounced back with a great win over Birchwood. Awesome effort and determination by the whole team! Stay tuned for info on practice after school.

Track and Field – All athletes who signed up for the track meet need to check in with either Ms. Fradsham, M. Beaton or M. Gallison by Thursday to confirm your attendance at the track scheduled scheduled for Monday, May 25.

Student Council – there will be a meeting in Mr. Roche's class at morning break today to plan for the upcoming leadership conference. All student council members must attend and are asked to bring their materials for periods 2 and 3 because it may go a few minutes into 2nd period as well.
