Cafeteria services have now started for the school year.
Terry Fox Run:
Our Annual Terry Fox Run will look a little different this year. It will take place Wednesday, October 13th, but due to large numbers, we will have 3 different walks (one per grade level) in the afternoon of the 13th. Grade 7s - 12:50 -1:30; Grade 8s - 1:30-2:10; Grade 9s - 2:10-2:50. Jill will send out more details soon.
Terry's goal was to raise one dollar per Canadian citizen and he exceeded that goal. We are hoping to raise one or 2 dollars per person in this school for a goal of $1000.
Like last year, we will be asking students and adults for donations - for every dollar you give, you will receive a ballot (if you give $1, you get one ballot; if you give $5, you will get 5 ballots, etc...) that will go in for a draw. We will draw for 2 Terry Fox T-Shirts, a Terry Fox Mask and a Terry Fox pin the day before the walks. Your teacher will have ballots soon - they are blue and stamped with "Stonepark Gives Back" – all monies collected will go to the Terry Fox Foundation and cancer research. We will also be collecting loose/spare change in the Spare-Change Mobile during lunch hours. (Repeat daily.)
Stonepark Green Team:
If you are environmentally conscious, care about the earth and your school, then sign-up to be a class rep on the Stonepark Green Team! The sign-up sheet is on the window to Mrs. Burry's office in Grade 7 House upstairs.
Yearbook Committee:
Any students interested in being a part of the 2021-22 yearbook are asked to attend a quick meeting in Mr. Beaton's room at the beginning of lunch today.
Lost & Found Table:
Students, please take a look at this table and take what is ONLY yours. If these items are not picked up by Wednesday, they will be leaving the school on Thursday morning.
Girls AA Soccer:
"The Girls AA Soccer team had a good run in the Summerside Friendship tournament! The girls won one game and lost two, but all girls worked well together to show teamwork and skills. Goal scorers in the tournament were Sophie Gallant and Ava Clarke. Jessica Connelly also played strong in the net for all three games! Your coaches are both very proud of each of you! We will pick up the regular season with a game at home against EWS tomorrow. Girls are asked to be at the Heather Avenue field by 5 PM for warm-up, Tuesday evening."

Girls A soccer Practice today in the bowl, 3:15-4:30
Boys AA Soccer Team:
The boys soccer team will practice this afternoon from 3:15 – 4:15 on McLeod Field.
Boys AA Volleyball:
The boys AA volleyball team will practice from 5-7 tonight.
Field Hockey Team:
Will practice today from 3:15-4:30 on the UPEI turf. Please make sure you are on the bus today.
Baseball Team:
Plays in Summerside today at 4:30. Please meet in Mr. Campbell's room at recess for a quick meeting.
Golf Draw:
The golf draw will be finalized later today. There will be a meeting on Tuesday at recess to organize for provincials on Wednesday in Avondale.
All fall team fees are due this week. Please bring your money to Mr. Bridges before Thursday.
